Thank you for putting your health in my hands!

As a therapist with extensive experience, I am excited to be part of your health journey and assist you in fulfilling your health and fitness goals. I am proud to be able to put the letters FCAMPT behind my name. This means that I have completed the extensive education in Manual Therapy (hands-on) and passed numerous exams. This allows me to have a Fellowship in the Canadian Association of Manipulative Physical Therapists. My ability to treat chronic pain improved tremendously after I ventured out to Vancouver several years ago to complete the training for Gunn IMS (dry needling). I have found this to be a highly effective treatment for chronic muscle tension and utilize it frequently in my treatments. Acupuncture (CAFCI) and therapeutic exercise round out my Physio “Tool Kit”. In addition, we can not underestimate education. Including this in therapy is essential for optimal outcomes. My assessments (60 minutes) and treatments (30 minutes) allow me the time to complete effective assessments and subsequent treatments.

Virtual appointments are a convenient option. Please contact me by email to arrange a Virtual appointment.

Initial Assessments and Follow-up appointments can be booked online.

Rae has worked in private practice for many years developing her skills in treating orthopedic and sports injuries. She completed the prestigious Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). This comprehensive manual therapy training has provided the foundation to her treatments. (https://manippt.org/) In 2010 she completed her post-graduate study (CAFCI) through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute allowing her to provide Acupuncture treatments.(https://www.acupuncturecanada.org/) Dry needling was added to her physio “toolbox” in 2016 when she became a Certified Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (Gunn IMS) practitioner through the University of British Columbia. This has proven to be an effective treatment for those with persistent pain due to muscle tightness and underlying nerve sensitivity (neuropathy). (https://www.gunnims.com/)

She has been involved in providing medical team coverage for various sports over the years. This has included the Sport Medical and Science Council of Sask, the Western Canadian Summer Games, and as a trainer for AAA and AA hockey teams as well as Jr. B Lacrosse.

Outside of work, she is proud to be a wife and Mom to 3 wonderful girls. A love of the outdoors (camping, hiking, boating, SUP, gardening, skiing, snow shoeing) as well as curling, home decor, and volunteering are activities that she enjoys.
